On Saturday, September 19th, the Mill Creek Village hosted their 13th Annual Community Picnic on Caddy Court. More than 130 Mill Creek Towne residents of all ages turned out on a beautiful Fall Day to enjoy grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, sides, a variety of desserts, and flavored sno-cones!
Special thanks to Susana Castillo and Joe Wagman! They did a tremendous job organizing, shopping, and running this event, with help from MCV volunteers, Anna McBain, Pat Stone, Cindy Queen, and Val Spies, who stepped up to help, as did many of the Caddy Court residents, MCV board members, and directors. Also, Thanks to Ed Ludwig and Robbie Ludwig for providing snow cones as a cool treat for everyone! Beverages were provided by Ellen McAdams and Kathy Corcelius from Mill Creek Towne Garden Club. Chuck MacGee from Montgomery County’s Emergency Management & Homeland Security Department provided helpful Emergency Preparedness information and fun freebies to our community at his table. Everyone had fun socializing with their neighbors. Some lucky participants of the annual raffle won gift cards for meals at local restaurants or MCV’s new t-shirt.
