Dinner Club for Senior Mill Creek Towne Residents

Senior Diners Enjoying One Another

Mill Creek Village has created a Dinner Club for senior residents in our community. Because it gets dark early at this time of year, the club members have already met for three late lunches at the Fontina Grill, Thai House, and China Jade restaurants.

Socializing with others and averting isolation are important to one’s health and longevity. Those living alone or with others would be most welcome to participate. Initially, those participating would meet once per month at a well-liked local restaurant for either lunch or an early dinner both to enjoy a delicious meal and enjoy one another’s company.  Depending on the group’s interests, we can then decide together how often the group would like to get together and whether to designate a single eating venue or rotate among restaurants.

Village Board member Joe Ginther is leading this effort and will help coordinate the activity, making any necessary reservations and organizing carpools or other transportation as needed.  If you are one of our community seniors, aged 60 and older, and would enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of breaking bread with other older neighbors, please contact Joe Ginther by email (use button below).
