Join your neighbors for our annual leisurely walk around parts of Mill Creek Towne at one of the most colorful times in our neighborhood.  We will also visit two lovely gardens at neighbor’s homes, enjoy snacks and refreshments and admire the drawings at the youth event described below. Sign-in for the annual “Walk” event will begin at 9:00 AM in the parking lot of the Mill Creek Towne Elementary School at 17700 Park Mill Drive.   

A Special Simultaneous Youth Activity This Year:  In these often-troubling times here and around the world, we invite children, 6 – 16 years of age to Shady Mill Road to convey through their words and artwork positive messages of kindness encouragement, goodwill, respect and hope.  Their easels will be driveways and their medium will be colorful sidewalk chalk (that the Village will provide).

As an incentive to participate, eligible MCPS students will earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours toward graduation requirements.  Adults and children from Mill Creek Towne are welcome to ask non-resident family and friends to join them. Registration for those children participating will be at 17712 Shady Mill Road starting at 9:00 AM. Adults should accompany younger children.
