13th Annual MCV Community Picnic

Mill Creek Village Invites Mill Creek Towne residents of all ages to our 13^th Annual Community Picnic!

Time: 4 pm -7 pm

Where: Caddy Court

WE’LL PROVIDE:

• Grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, turkey burgers, and veggie burgers
• Buns and condiments
• Lemonade, iced tea, and water (Courtesy of Mill Creek Towne Garden Club)
• Canopies for shade and tables and chairs for sit-down dining
• Lawn games and a raffle for several restaurants $25 gift cards.

Please feel welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share as well as your favorite beverage and extra chair.

National Preparedness Month Table

For National Preparedness Month, our office will provide information and distribute materials related to emergency preparedness, including preparedness workbooks, Alert Montgomery cards, and children’s coloring and activity books. We will share guidance on key preparedness actions such as staying informed, developing an emergency plan, and assembling an emergency kit. In addition, we will encourage residents to complete our emergency preparedness survey, which not only offers preparedness information but also gathers valuable feedback on how the office can improve its outreach materials, presentations, and resources. This input will help ensure residents feel informed, supported, and empowered to take action before, during, and after emergencies. Finally, we will distribute promotional items—such as bags, first aid kits, flashlights, and rain ponchos—to help residents begin building their emergency kits, and participants will have the opportunity to spin our prize wheel to determine their giveaway item.

Founded in 2013, Mill Creek Village (MCV) is a volunteer-led, 501 (c) 3, tax-exempt, nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to assisting older neighbors (60+ years of age) in Mill Creek Towne to maintain their independence and age well at home. Services include transportation support, grocery shopping, friendly home visits and check-in phone contacts. MCV also fosters community-wide, inter-generational social connection via several annual events like this one.
