On Sunday, August 10th, Mill Creek Village, the nonprofit, community service organization serving Mill Creek Towne erected the second Little Free Library in the Mill Creek Towne neighborhood. This book swapping structure is blue in color and located on Beauvoir Blvd, near the trail entrance to Redland Park, close to Beauvoir Court. It is very similar to the original Little Free Library erected in June 2024 on Park Mill Drive between Mill Fall Road and Park Mill Court.
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, share a book” free book exchange. There are more than 150,000 registered Little Free Libraries in 120 countries worldwide including several in Montgomery County. This new structure is an official registered Little Free Library and was funded by a partnership with the Village Support Network, a nonprofit organization that helps support new and existing villages in Montgomery County.
Our new library already contains many good books shared by neighbors for the reading enjoyment of both adults and children. The Mill Creek Village Board of Directors invites our community to enjoy and support both of our libraries. Please treat these resources with care and respect and report any problems/concerns to the Village at (240) 686-5870 or mctvillage@gmail.com.
